I have been a huge Earthbound fan for 8 years, so about 3 years ago when I got this yo-yo, I was ecstatic. It sleeps well, and is great for tricks. Unfortunately, it has started to fade, but it was well worth the 17 dollars.
I bought mine maybe 2 years ago. Once I received it I realized it was meant for tricks that where a little more advanced than I knew at the time. I was practicing looping and you'll notice this yo-yo isn't responsive enough to do stuff like that, but that doesn't mean it's a bad yo-yo! This is meant for string tricks such as the trapeze because of the metal bearing in the center. As I started learning those things, this quickly became one of my favorite yo-yo's! Definitely would recommend if you want a higher experience level yo-yo. Great buy.
the string broke after a while of use, but I guess that's to be expected for any yoyo, and replacements strings aren't too expensive. I just wish that they also sold the scrapped design of the Eagle Lander, because that was my personal favorite design for this yoyo, and I would have bought that one if it was available.
THIS YO-YO IS A WORK OF ART!
I USE IT EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE!
IT WORKS LIKE A DREAM BUT THE STRING BROKE AFTER A FEW MONTHS
ABSOLUTE BUY FOR ANY EARTHBOUND FAN IF YOU HAVE SPARE STRINGS!!!!!!!!!!!
You might look at this and think it's an over priced yoyo, it's not. The regular yo mega raider is $13 but this is an EB custom and a must have in any collection! I'm learning the yoyo now! It would be so so so so much better if it was the exact smash bros design gosh I hate copy rights but great bag and original design!
The Yomega Raider brand is something of a legend in the yo-yo world for its balance of quality and value: it's basic and inexpensive enough for novices, but well-designed and versatile enough to win championships.
Each Yomega comes ready to roll in its own custom-printed pouch, but if you need string replacements we recommend #6 (classic) or #8 (thicker) string types. For these and other yo-yo resources, check out one of these sites:
Designed by Jon Kay and manufactured by the good folks at Yomega.
